That's my thinking as well. It just feels too out-of-left field for it. Besides, I don't think the game's quite over yet.
The big thing to remember: In a revival round, all of the "winners" need to move on to the next round, like it or not. As a result, it's quite possible that he's pandering for a setup, since I don't think it's possible for him to "lose" at this stage.
